The exhibition in the foyer of the Janáček Theatre will present large-format prints of the autographs of all nine of Janáček’s operas, offering a glimpse into the early stages of their creation and the beauty of the composer’s handwriting.
The exhibition is accessible to ticket holders one hour prior to the performance at the Janáček Theatre.

In the artist’s broad thematic portfolio, we find one unmistakable line of her work focused on the unseen and the sensed, which manifests in her concrete sculptures. They are shells, cases, and imprints of something that is no longer there. It is precisely from this body of work that Hana Svobodová has prepared an exhibition centered around the composer Leoš Janáček. The main work here is a suspended dining tabletop bearing the traces of a feast that once took place at the Janáček household, appearing to us through time only as faint imprints and shadows. Memory fades. What once was is long gone.
