Janáček Theatre Piazzetta

– Free Entry –

The highlight of the programme starts at 8:00 p.m. with a screening of Janáček’s opera Kát’a Kabanová from the Salzburg Festival.

Celebrate Janáček’s 172nd birthday with us on June 23rd at the piazzetta in front of the Janáček Theatre.

Come and join us for the third time to celebrate the birthday of Leoš Janáček. Our famous composer would have been 172 this year – and that deserves a proper party. The morning will belong to our young audience with an adventure game in the park. In the afternoon, you can just sit on our stairs and enjoy a chamber concert to set the mood for the screening of Janáček’s opera Kát’a Kabanová from the Salzburg Festival in Austria, starting at 8:00 p.m. The event partner is TIC Brno, which will prepare further activities, such as a guided tour along the Janáček trail. Tickets must be purchased for the guided walk; the rest of the programme is free of charge.
