Antonín Dvořák: Rusalka
A new stage, an old legend — Antonín Dvořák’s Rusalka in a new production by the National Theatre Brno (Janáček Opera) offers a poetic yet deeply emotional perspective on the well-known story of the water nymph who longs to become human. The production is directed by David Radok, with Marko Ivanović on the conductor’s podium; in the title role of Rusalka appears Linda Ballová. The staging draws on the original scenographic concept by Lars-Åke Thessman (Gothenburg Opera) and combines a multi-layered visual concept with powerful acting.
The stream (premiere on OperaVision) took place on 6 September 2025 at 7:00 PM; the recording will be available on the platform until 6 March 2026 (12:00 PM). The performance is sung in Czech with Czech and English subtitles.
