We are delighted to announce that the visual identity of the 10th anniversary edition of the Janáček Brno 2026 festival will be created by renowned Czech illustrator and artist Michal Bačák. His distinctive style, attention to detail, and ability to combine tradition with playful creativity make him the perfect choice for this year’s edition.
Michal Bačák is the winner of the 2024 Czech Grand Design Award for Illustrator of the Year and also the recipient of the prestigious EDIDA 2025 award. His work is widely recognized both in the Czech Republic and internationally.
The comprehensive visual style of the festival will be created by graphic designer Žaneta Kögler, former head of the Graphic Design Studio 1 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology, and an experienced author of numerous visual identities.
The final visual identity of the Janáček Brno 2026 festival will be unveiled on 31 October 2025 during the JANÁČEK AT THE START! concert at the Mahen Theatre. Audiences can look forward to an original, imaginative, and unmistakable visual concept — just like the music of Leoš Janáček.
